Through sheer tenacity and consistent achievement, Goh Qui Bin won the richly deserved Sportsman of the Year title in 2006. A three-time SEA Games gold medalist, Qui Bin is well known for his skillful and fluid movements which he combines with amazing technical strength. In 2004, Qui Bin secured a combined taiji gold at the Asian Wushu Championships in Myanmar. The 2005 SEA Games in the Philippines saw him clinch the taijiquan and taijijian combined title. At the Doha Asian Games in December 2006, Qui Bin took a bronze medal. If wushu becomes an Olympic sport, If that wasn’t enough, Qui Bin is convinced he has yet to reach his full potential.
