ATHENS OLYMPIC GAMES 2004

The Singapore National Olympic Council’s (SNOC) Selection Committee, chaired by its President RAdm (NS) Teo Chee Hean, sat this afternoon and endorsed the list of 16 athletes and 18 officials to form the Singapore Olympic contingent. (Please see list of athletes attached).

The Chef de Mission Ms Annabel Pennefather, Vice President of the Singapore National Olympic Council will lead the core group of the contingent departing for Athens on 9 Aug ’04 by SQ 348 at 0100 hours (Send-Off ceremony at Changi Terminal 2 on 8 Aug ’04 at 2030 hours).

The Flag Presentation ceremony will be held on 27 July 2004 at 6.30pm at the Singapore Sports School, 1 Champions Way off Woodlands Drive 15, Singapore 737913. The Guest of Honour will be RAdm (NS) Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Defence and President of the Singapore National Olympic Council.
