Bowling Women's Trios Team - Jennifer Tan - Alice Tay - Valerie Teo Easily among our most experienced and consistent bowlers, the awesome trio created a stir when they set a new mark at the World Championships in Demark last year. Combining well and showing impeccable form under intense pressure, they looked on track for the much-coveted gold medal. Though they were denied the top spot by the Chinese Taipei women eventually and had to settle for silver, the level of their achievement was commendable. They had taken on the world's best - and emerged among the very best. In the process, they have affirmed Singapore's status as a top bowling nation. And they are paving the way for further success among a whole new generation of young bowlers, many of whom are more certain than ever that they can compete at the highest level. |
